Herald Times Reporter, June 2005: Bruce Wegner of Frank Check Builders, Francis Creek, has been selected to participate in Pella Corporation’s newly revised national Certified Pella Contractor (CPC) program. Frank Check Builders has been a Certified Pella Contractor for a number of years, and has the honor of being one of the few builders selected for this new program. Certified Pella Contractors receive special ongoing training in the installation of Pella Windows and Doors as well as marketing assistance. "Bruce’s designation as a Certified Pella Contractor demonstrates his willingness to provide quality installation services which complement Pella’s quality windows and doors. Bruce Wegner and his wife, Gail, became owners of Frank Check Builders in 1993, when Frank Check, Gail’s father retired after 27 years of business. Bruce began as an employee of Frank Check Builders in 1978. Frank Check Builders has been using Pella products for over 15 years. This custom home building and remodeling company was founded by Frank Check in 1966. Frank is semi-retired, but is still active and helps Bruce with many facets of the business. Frank's wife, Joyce, helps their daughter Gail with bookkeeping duties of the company. With more than 60 years combined experience, Bruce and Frank surround themselves with the finest craftsmen in Manitowoc County to produce projects customers can be proud of.
